This is based on an experience carried out with graduate students, using the technique of the image theatre for the critical analysis of the themes and objectives of some theses written by women. In this way, I understand masculinity here as a series of actions that are not always linked to male bodies, but rather as a configuration of discourses and practices that can be embodied by diverse corporealities, social groups and institutions. From the image theatre we were able to construct several collective images; in one of those, called the image of submission, we explored the articulations between masculinity and university teaching. The construction of these images and the work with the theatre of the oppressed made it possible for the students to collectively socialize their research processes, and also to reflect ethically and politically on them, from a gender perspective aimed at questioning and eradicating androcentrism in epistemologies and research methodologies in academia.
2023-09-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Revista F@rohttps://revistafaro.cl/index.php/Faro/article/view/899Estudios de Género en STEM en Chile y Alemania2023-08-07T04:35:59+00:00Andrea Veraandrea.vera@uv.cl

Interview between Andrea Vera Gajardo (Gender and Science, University of Valparaíso, Chile) and Anelis Kaiser Trujillo (Gender Studies in STEM, University of Freiburg, Germany). At the same time, it seeks to understand the body-bodily as an ontological and aesthetic category through which it is possible to construct the dynamics present in the work of María Luisa Bombal, from the perspective of the different subjectivities present in the characters of the story La historia de María Griselda, especially those that point to the conformation of a feminine identity.

2023-09-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Revista F@rohttps://revistafaro.cl/index.php/Faro/article/view/893Performatividad del mal en el cuerpo de las mujeres2023-08-04T02:40:52+00:00Luisa Aedo Ambrosettiluisaaedo@gmail.com
This article deals with the book Ingrid Olderock. The objective is to analyze the double torture from a gender perspective suffered by women detained in the Chilean civic-military dictatorship (1973-1990), mainly in the "Sexy Venda" detention center and the testimony of some women who were abused. and raped by trained dogs. This article seeks to investigate the possible bases of Lemebel's critique of this ideal. If, throughout his work, Lemebel returns again and again to the iconography of the 'new man', it is not only to glue 'glitter' to the solitary star of his flag. From the reading of the Manifesto to the burning footprints with which he marks his passage through the extermination camps of Pisagua (without letting go of his heels), his work was a dangerous way of corporealizing cadences, textures and tonalities, relegated 'from the party' for their feminizing potential. Piercing the binary boundaries between masculine and feminine, hard and soft, homeland and death, Lemebel's work unfolds as a defiant onslaught that targets the phallocentric center of its signifiers. Through his critique Lemebel introduces unusual forms of contempt that both interrogate and challenge the local revolutionary imaginary. The heels for the olive green, the nostalgia in the face of oblivion, the brightness against the regime of opacity of the bodies, are part of a subversive proposal that installs luminous lines of escape that tension both sides of the patriarchal trench.
2023-09-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Revista F@rohttps://revistafaro.cl/index.php/Faro/article/view/898Valparaíso con lentes de mujer2023-08-07T04:37:48+00:00Nataly Campusano Díazna.campusano@gmail.com
Today, cities have become the stage where the dynamics of patriarchy and capitalism are reflected and perpetuated. These two interconnected systems shape and govern our urban life, directly impacting on the sexual division of labour, the valuation of reproductive and care work, and the gender-based violence experienced in urban space. This article aims to address the challenge of rethinking and building cities from a feminist perspective, taking into account the diversity and uniqueness of people, with an intersectional approach that recognises the multiple variables that shape us as individuals. As a case study, the city of Valparaíso in Chile will be examined and the opportunities and obstacles that arise in the search for a more just, inclusive and violence-free city will be explored, highlighting the fundamental role of women's active participation in decision-making and city planning.

2023-09-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Revista F@rohttps://revistafaro.cl/index.php/Faro/article/view/901TO WRITE FROM “FEMINIST WISDOM” BEYOND MAY 20182023-09-14T21:16:09+00:00Rosa Alcayaga Tororecabal1907@gmail.com
2023-09-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Revista F@ro
