Abstract
This paper aims to confront the thesis of Gilles Deleuze on the emergence of a new society of continuous and ubiquitous control modulated by means of a code with Lawrence Lessig's claim that in cyberspace the technological architecture is becoming a new threat to liberty, which he synthesizes by arguing that Code is law.
